The Help

In the movie "The Help" many of the black maids decided to put their stories in a book to tell the real story of how thier feeling and whats really happening.

1. In the first scene of The Help a journalist named Skeeter who wants to know the real story about what happens in Jackson.. She interviews black maids and ask's questions on how they feel.
Throughout the movie the maids go through alot of pain suffering and racism. They hear stuff that can be really hurtful. They get threats they lose their jobs and they realize that their opinion means nothing.

What I realized about The Help is that its a inspirational movie that explains the drama of what happened back in the 1960's of how African American maids were exposed to racism as they worked with white families. Skeeter a young lady who has reently graduated from Ole Miss and has come back to her home to find her maid, her friend, her second mom, someone who means something to her has left back home. This changes skeeter's life and makes her really want to attack her dream and do something with it.

Skeeter wants to interview all the black maids but their all afraid to talk because they think they will lose their jobs or worse. They eventually end up talking to Skeeter but its a struggle for them to tell their stories. Once they finally get whats on their mind off they can feel free and live thier life knowing that the truth is out.
